Ethanol, also known as ethyl alcohol, is a versatile product used as a biofuel additive in the transportation sector, among other applications. Our ethanol is produced through the fermentation of biomass, a process that not only supports the renewable energy sector but also aligns with sustainable practices by utilizing agricultural feedstocks.
Ethanol Production Process
- Raw Material Selection: The process begins with the selection of raw materials, typically starch or sugar-based crops such as corn, sugarcane, or cassava.
- Fermentation: The selected raw materials undergo a fermentation process where yeast is added to convert sugars into ethanol and carbon dioxide.
- Distillation: The fermented mixture is then subjected to distillation. During distillation, ethanol is separated from the fermentation mixture, resulting in a high-purity ethanol product.
- Dehydration: The distilled ethanol may further undergo dehydration to remove any remaining water, resulting in anhydrous ethanol, which is suitable for blending with petrol.
